For more than twenty years, the Virginia Horse Center has been the crowning jewel of the Commonwealth’s $1.46 billion equine industry. Known throughout the country and internationally, the Virginia Horse Center serves as a venue for more than 100 events a year including horse shows, clinics, rodeos, workshops, and community events.

Upcoming Events at the Virginia Horse Center:
winter schooling

January 1 - March 1: Winter Schooling at the Virginia Horse Center

Continue training during the winter months with winter schooling at the Horse Center. Day, Weekend, and Week Schooling packages are offered.

$20.00 per horse per schooling session

$20.00 per stall for day or overnight stabling

(Regardless of stall cleanout)

Star City
Canine
February 19-21: Star City Canine
TAKC Agility Trial held by Star City Canine Training Club of Roanoke, Va. Hundreds of dogs from several states will be competing in Agility, the fastest growing performance sport in the world. Judging begins at 8:00AM and will run until late in the afternoon. Entries open December 1, 2009.  Judges are Carol Mount and Paul Mount.

February 20: Lone Star Rodeo Spirit of the West Tour   ~ONE NIGHT ONLY~

Full rodeo featuring bull riding, bareback and saddlebronc riding, team-roping, calf-roping, steer wrestling, cowgirls' barrel racing and breakaway roping. Doors will open at 6:00 PM and the show will begin at 8:00 PM. ($)

Advance Tickets will be available at the Horse Center ticket office

Monday-Friday; 10am-4pm - February 10th thru February 19th.

After that tickets may be purchased at the door depending upon availability.

General Admission Adult: $12.00 in advance / $15.00 at the door

General Admission Child: $9.00 in advance ; $12.00 at the door (under 12)
